Hello!  My name is Diane Small and I am a pysanky artist.  Pysanky means "to write" and this artform is thousands of years old.  The designs are created on real egg shells using beeswax and dyes.  It is a traditional Ukrainian art, though I am not Ukrainian!  It is an artform that I came across and was immediately drawn to.  I was initially self taught and have since attended workshops with other pysanky artists.  My eggs are a mix of traditional and contemporary designs.
